Curlief discovers Alex on guardian assignment. The song is titled ALEX v CURLIEF Duet. The performance was during a pitch session at the Musical Writers Festival.
This scene comes in the scond half of ACT 2. Alex angel is wants to tell Pilate who he has arrested - but instead discovers a woman that he once guarded as a child princess. Alex tries to convince Samara (now Pilate's wife) that the Messiah once promised is now in her house! A promised secret can now be revealed!
This is an early version of GOD DON'T WORK THAT WAY that opens ACT 2. Everything is going wrong for our heros - "why can't God change things back to the way they should be?"
The lyrics will be modified adding "Seek" and "Knock" instead of just "Ask". Planning to add in some harmonies too.
Curlief (Lucifer) brings Suspicion and Doubt to King Herod - telling him to send his daughter (likely mother of the Messiah?) away to stop the prophecy.
