ANGELIC is a Wicked story. Let’s start there.

Cross over to the dimension of angels, as their celestial songs elevate the plot of preparing for the expected Messiah.   In a fashion akin to WICKED, ANGELIC crafts a fantasy that draws upon a familiar backstory while continually delivering unexpected twists.

Alex, grappling with his evil angel brother, finds himself at the center of every Messiah mess.  Messiah's expected mother goes missing, Joseph refuses to marry Mary, travel arrangements forgotten.   Through the turmoil, a recovery plan is implemented that quickly goes askew.  Why can’t God come to the rescue? 

Angels journey through loss, deceit and estranged relationships - not to mention through the universe.  Stay out of the 5th Dimension. Gabriel has dementia.  

Conventional expectations are shattered, unlikely heroes emerge, and Lucifer lurks around the stage curtain. Does darkness ultimately triumph?  More importantly, how does one stay out of choir rehearsals?

NICHOLAS HAFNER  Book and Lyrics

Poet and song writer with ASCAP publishing credentials under ABOFA Publishing.  He represented and managed Broadway musical artists and composers,  and currently holds a Miami Beach big band director's music library.

Most of his career has been spent in the corporate arena with Royal Caribbean Cruise Line and American Airlines.

Nick grew up in and enjoys Montana, sings and plays golf and resides in Fort Myers, FL with wife Amy and Charlie the old dog.

JOHN E. COATES  Music and Orchestration

A multi-talented musician whose experiences range from working with country superstars Roy Clark & Minnie Pearl to orchestrating & conducting the Walt Disney EPCOT Center’s inaugural Christmas Spectacular to serving as National Music Director for the Young Messiah Tour. 

Recent works include orchestrating and producing the theatrical production of the Hallmark Channel’s hit series, “When Calls the Heart,” for national syndication. John’s frivolities include lighting things on fire, perfecting his disappearing act at social events, and his restored, red, classic 1983 Mercedes convertible. He resides in Nashville with his wife Marty, and daughters, Angela and Evie, and son-in-law friend, Joshua.
